With regard to the daily discharged weight of solid waste per person in 1994, the averaged value all over Japan is 1,106 g/(person・day), the averaged value of the 13 prefectures concerned to the Seto Inland Sea is 1,175 g/(person・day). In principle, solid waste is not incinerated but reduced in volume and stabilized in treatment. The incinerated ratio of solid waste is 89.5% in the 13 prefectures concerned, which is little bit higher than the averaged value of 87.5 % in Japan. The state of the solid waste treatment and the improvement state of final disposal sites are shown in Table 7-6 and 7-7, respectively.
