Regional Environmental Pollution Control Promran includes comprehensive enforcement, such as therestriction of effluent, the construction of sewer, the dredge of sludge deposited, the improvement of monitoring system and so on, to achieve the environmental standards.
This plan has been drawn up in 14 zones in areas concerned to the Seto Inland Sea as shown in Figure 7-10. Although these 14 zones occupy the only about 16 % of the total areas concerned to the Seto Inland Sea, these area, the industrial and population concentrated zones, have about 63 % of the population and produce 70 % of the industrial shipment amount of their total in the 13 prefectures concerned. as they are.
