Overview of the conference

The joint Fourth International Conference on the Environmental Management of Enclosed Coastal Seas(EMECS’99) and Fourth International Conference on the Mediterranean Coastal Environment (MEDCOAST 1999) was held over a period of four days from November 9 through November 12 at the Hotel Dedeman in Antalya, Turkey, The conference, whose theme was “LandOcean Interactions: Managing Coastal Ecosystems ” was attended by 300 delegates from more than 50 countries.
