The 8th EMECS Conference (EMECS 8) ended in great success!
EMECS 8 was held from October 27 to October 30, 2008 in Shanghai, China, under the theme of " Harmonizing River Catchment and Estuary." About 470 people from 37 countries participated in the conference and exchanged information and opinions actively.
At the closing of the conference, the Shanghai Declaration and the Students and Schools Partnership Declaration were adopted. It was also decided that the next EMECS Conference (EMECS
9) will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. in 2011.
